Hi, I'm Nicci Russell and I founded Baked in Breck in 2021, shortly after relocating to the mountains of Colorado. I'm originally from East Lansing, Michigan, where I earned a degree in neuroscience in 2017 from Michigan State. I had intended to go to medical school but eventually realized it wasn't the right fit for me. I left my job in research to live my dreams in the mountains.

Luckily, inspiration was never far away. Growing up, I was incredibly fortunate to have spent a great deal of time with my amazing Grandmother. She was a phenomenal baker, and she passed down her knowledge and love for the craft to me.

To me, baking is a form of expression. It allows me to convey love, kindness, and warmth through each and every creation. It is a means of crafting everlasting memories for those who indulge in my treats. This is the invaluable lesson that my grandmother showed me

Thank you for considering Baked in Breck and for supporting my small, woman-owned business.

Baked in Breck: A Sweet Journey Inspired by Love

When I made the decision to move out to the mountains, my mind was focused solely on finding happiness and letting the rest fall into place. Starting a business was the last thing on my mind. However, as the months rolled by and I immersed myself in the beauty of mountain living, a seed of an idea started to take root within me.

I wanted to create something that would not only bring me joy, but also touch the lives of others. And so, the concept of Baked in Breck was born. I envisioned a bakery that would offer more than just delicious treats; it would provide an experience that would resonate with people on a deeper level.
